Hey TBC’ers! Happy Friday! Do you ever want to ensure appropriate tolerances were achieved in the field for as-staked points and their corresponding design points? This week’s tip covers how to specify as-staked point tolerances.
When as-staked point data is gathered in the field, the field software computes deltas for the as-staked points and their corresponding design points. When imported into a project, TBC identifies with a red flag and/or red label text any as-staked points whose deltas exceed the as-staked point tolerance you specify in the Project Settings dialog.
Follow the steps below to learn about specifying as-staked point tolerances.
- In the Quick Access Toolbar (located at the top of the Trimble Business Center window), select Project Settings.
- In the Project Settings dialog, select Computations > As-Staked Points.
- In the Horizontal tolerance and Vertical tolerance fields, enter the tolerance values as necessary.
Note: There is no need to change the Vertical tolerance if you leave the Flag vertical out of tolerance option set to No.
- Click OK to close the Project Settings dialog. You are then ready to import the as-staked point data into your project.
