TBC Macros and Extensions

I was wondering if you think it would be possible to write a macro that could read/extract the text from an imported pdf (or convert the polylines the program extracts into text), more specifically the elevation text. This way it would be possible to then do spot elevations pretty quickly. Currently with most of the pdfs that I have access to if I do the "import vector info" command the text just gets converted to polylines instead of text that is readable by the spot elevation command. Or is this the type of command that would require more programming on Trimble's end?

This would depend on the PDF file. Some PDFs are just raster (so no lines or text to extract). Some have lines but the text is converted to lines (so you get the lines and texts as lines) and some include the text as actual text (usually with the text as lines also). If the PDF has the text, it is extracted and you can use it in TBC. If not, writing a macro to convert the text "lines" would be a difficult task.
