Trimble Connect User Forum

Hi i'm getting started on Trimble connect Desktop.

I tried to create a project and adding ifc files, but after a loading time they don't appear in the 3d view. 

This is what i get.

Is there a problem with my ifc files?

Strange..., on the WEB version choose the new viewer, it is faster.
On the desktop application, it should work.

Are you loading multiple models? Could it be that your models are located far away from each others, well, at least one model from others. Or actually it's enough if one object is far away.

Hi, thank you but it's really a loading problem i think.

My modeles are written in red and the "eye" next to their names is crossed.

I have no issue on Tekla Bimsight.

That is really weird as Tekla BIMsight has much older import plugins. Oh, which one you have installed last? Tekla BIMsight or Trimble Connect Desktop? Both software are sharing the import plugins.

If Tekla BIMsight, then please uninstall Trimble Connect Desktop and install it again.

Trimble Connect Desktop cannot load ifc models using the import plugin that comes with Tekla BIMsight 1.9.9.

PS. You should always install Trimble Connect Desktop after the Tekla BIMsight.
