Hi Trimble,

We experienced that trimble connect desktop (tcd) used to be "hang", in-responses. It happen every few minutes or when we switch the view, create Todo, turn on model...

We try to investigate and find out that, everything work perfect& fast in offline mode. It seem the problem come because TCD try to synch data with server.

How to overcome? can TCD provide option allow user choose how frequent it will be synch to sever or manually synch ( Similar to Trimble Connect Sync).

You are right, Trimble Connect Desktop does sync data to and from server.

Syncing of lots of project may take quite some time. It should get better if you wait for a while, so that Trimble Connect Desktop has synced everything.

Do you see the slowness on all projects? If just on few project, could you invite me (marko.myllymaa _@- trimble.com) to such project?

You can set how often Trimble Connect Desktop syncs the project data by editing editing TrimbleConnect.exe.config file (located in C:\Program Files\Trimble\Trimble Connect). In that file you can see line:

<add key="EntitySyncFrequencyInMinutes" value="2" />

Just edit the value to be what you want.

Could you please draw more light to the maximum & minimum limit of sync frequency in minutes can be set to get better performance to TC desktop.

Hi Marko,

Even after changing value in config file, it doesn't solve the issue. I am talking about IFC created for Model size as below

TCD is performing very slow. You just scroll in the view for zooming & start hanging.

It's worked, instead of hanging& slow in every 2mns- it works much more stable with your suggestion.

Btw, just wonder if can put this in TCD Setting UI, so user can easier to setup this option.
