    What's new in version 1.9.1.185?

    Can't find release notes.

Looks like they fixed the Pointcloud Issue, only took 2 Versions....

    Yep .e57 import works now

But I really don't find the viewer very practical for theses reasons:

    - If you want to make a clip plane, the direction of the plane is just pure luck, as TCD wants you to click on a plane but you can only click on points.

    - I can't find a way to move or rotate my point cloud

    - Can't force a direction of measurement.

Do any of you guys have any tips on how to use points cloud in TCD?

    Thank you

    Olivier

Olivier, for your 1ste question i have a tip.

What i do is create a slab, bigger than the point cloud boundaries.

I use this slab to create clip planes.

For measuring i narrow down the point cloud as much as needed by using clip planes.

Hi Yves, thanks a lots for your tips

For measuring I still find it a bit tricky to measure distances between 2 objects that are not directly connected by points and are quite far away (for example a beam and a slab or the passage beween 2 walls at a height of 1 meter above the ground).

    Regards,

    Olivier
