Is it possible to export the view filters  have created and bring into a new template (e.g. have it all set up in OS GRD but want to have them in a  SF 1 template) seeing as you cannot change nation grid system to scale factor one setting - but you can on access!)

    Hey Alan,

Sorry for the delay in response.

I don't think the view filters are saved as separate file, however I'll verify with the TBC team as I'm not 100%.

While you can't change the current Grid template to Scale only, you still can change it to a scale factor or 1.

If you change the coordinate settings to  Default Projection, check the box to automatically calculate projection parameters and set the SF to 1, it will recomputed to a SF 1 project.  The project won't display as a Scale Only, however if you inverse between points your Grid, ground and ellipsoid distances will be the same (if there is any difference it would be extremely small, e.g. 0.001')

I know this isn't exactly what you were wanting to do as it doesn't display as a scale only project, however the end result would be a SF 1 project. I can put in an enhancement request to be able to actually display a scale only project when changed.

I'll double check with the TBC team about the customer view filters being a file saved somewhere and let you know.

    Hey Alan,

You cannot export a view filter but you can create the view filter in your template and then save the template. Then when you create a new project with that template the view filter will already be created.

    Hope that Helps,

    Shane

I am aware of the options suggested and thanks for your reply.
it would be useful therefore to have the filter information saved when either exporting options or included in the FDM export perhaps?
