Clearing the Import Summary

  • 1.  Clearing the Import Summary

We have a template file that has evolved from a lot of testing, with quite a few job files imported and then removed. Now when I use the template and view an import summary, I see 100's of entries, none of which are applicable except for the last one(s).

It seems like when you save a file as a template, it carries forward all the imports from previous versions. How do I reset this, so my users only see the relevant items?

Do you have RPS? I ended up using RPS copy to copy everything from one template that I had the import errors on, to a blank one then save to get rid of the errors.

No, we are legal surveying only so most of it doesn't apply. I will look at writing a macro to clean it up though.
    Thanks for the idea.

The macro did the trick. The hard part was finding the right object in the API. For those of you interested, you need the Trimble.Vce.Data.ImportInformation snap-in object. You can then call ClearFiles() and you are done. I will post more info in the Macros and Extensions forum.
