DXF much different than dxf from Pathfinder office. Does anyone else has these problems

    When using DXF from pathfinder, I could convert 200 300 nodes to a symbol all at once. I could click on a line or end of line and join to another line. 
    Now with DXF from Trimble Connect, I have to Explode the line, which then puts it on Layer Zero / make my connection and place back on to correct layer.
    My Pt2Block does not recognize the Trimble Connect Nodes. The DXF is just not as user C3D / CAD friendly. Any thoughts. 
    ( I have used Area so not always having to connect line work, but in the field some times a line break CAD join is required)
