    Hello,

    I am using Trimble GPS Pathfinder Office 5.90, version 5.90-65535, with a Single Use / Dealer license.

    The software works correctly when the Windows system date is set to a date before October 15, 2020.

    In Help > About GPS Pathfinder Office, the following information is shown:

    • Version: 5.90-65535
    • License type: Dealer / Single Use
    • Installation Code: 034307-00350-*-********
    • Software expiry date: 15/10/2020
    • Support valid until: 15/10/2020

    When the Windows date is after October 15, 2020, the Installation Code field in GPS Pathfinder Office License Administrator becomes blank and Pathfinder Office starts in Viewer Mode.

    If I select Single Use > Activate and enter the original Installation Code using the current date, the Activation Wizard returns the following message:

    “The Installation Code has expired.”

    My questions are:

    1. Is this license permanently limited to October 15, 2020, or was that date related only to software maintenance/support?
    2. Is it possible to reactivate or update this existing license so that GPS Pathfinder Office 5.90-65535 works normally with the current Windows date?
    3. Since Pathfinder Office is now discontinued, can Trimble or an authorized Trimble dealer issue an updated Installation Code for an existing legitimate license?
    4. Is version 5.90-65535 the final supported version, or is there another 5.9x build that should be installed?
    5. What information or proof of ownership is required to request a license reactivation?

    I would like to continue using Pathfinder Office with my legacy Trimble equipment without changing the Windows system date.

    Hi Favio

    • The Installation code you have here is a FREE DEMO code. This is indicated by the second block 00350
    • Demo codes were always temporary and given for software trial's/ evaluations or to solve some specific problem for the customer.
    • Once these codes expire then you should no longer be using them 
    • I've looked this serial up Internally and the expiry for this is October 15 2020 

    I suggest you contact your Local Trimble dealer using the search portal to discuss the modern, supported alternatives

    Pathfinder Office and Terrasync software reached it's end of life/support/sales in September 2022 so there are no fixes for this

    He contactado al proveedor hace unos años atrás, pero mis GPS son antiguos: Geo 6000 y Geo 7X, y no tengo otra opción que instalar una versión de máquina virtual para salir del apuro e instalar Windows con fecha anterior a 10/2020. Ruego, si puede ayudarme con un alguna otra opción para poder trabajar sin este inconveniente, te quedaría muy agradecido.
