Terraflex and data attributes

This may be a dumb question but here goes.
I have data that was taken previously that has resource names - in shapefile format.  I have it set properly in NAD83 2011, etc.
I want to have that data as a basemap in my Terraflex workspace.
I have done the vectorson trick and can pull it in via that way - no problem at all.  I can see all the resources BUT I cannot click on them to see what they are named - I can just see them.

So, I went to the route of making the data into a template.  Pull it in - I can see it fine in trimble connect.  Update Terraflex workspace - template with the previously collected data is there but does not displace previously collected data - nothing I can click to get a name for the resources.

Long story short - how can I get previously collected data into a new workspace so I can click on that data to get information about it.  I am not going to be taking new data in that template, I have a new (2024 investigation into a previously investigated area) to do that.  Literally all I want to do is click on items in my basemap/workspace and see what the resource names are.

    Hi Lee

If you want to be able to select and view attribute information on this imported dataset then you'll need to 'Create a Task'

The Vector Layers beta only displays imported GIS data as a layer and does not allow you to query and of the data associated
I'd recommend the Terraflex Skill Builder Series - videos 4 - 6 cover the entire process

    1. Import your GIS dataset
    2. Create a form template
    3. Select the Imported GIS data and create a task

In Terraflex then you'll then need to open the task which will allow you to use the navigation options to find and view/edit the GIS data

Once you import the data into your Trimble Map Workspace,  you will need to add a template layer

Then you will need to create a ToDo/Task

Run TerraFlex on your mobile device, sync your projects and you will notice a task in the TerraFlex Project.  open the task.  THe data will show up under Forms & Map view
