I have had the issue twice now where the Site.xml file does not repopulate on the the assigned data collectors after a project has be un-archived in WorksManager.
- Appeared we were done with two of our WorksManager projects - both projects were archived via WorksManager.
- Several months later, we had to go back to one of the projects. I un-archived the project via WorksManager.
- Surveyor synched their controller to be able to perform the work. Upon attempting to open the project in Siteworks, a message popped up saying "The 'Site.xml' file is missing. Please set up the units and format settings."
- I got a call with the problem from the field, I immediately checked WorksManager, nothing there appeared off, the Site.xml file still appeared to be under the Settings menu. I opened the original TBC drawing that was linked to the WorksManager project for design upload, etc., nothing was flagged as needing to be resolved under the WorksManager project pane in TBC either.
- I ended up downloading the Site.xml file directly from WorksManager, then deleting it from WorksManager, then re-uploading the exact same file from my downloads, the surveyor synched their controller, and then the file suddenly downloaded and they were able to work without any further issues.
I though it was maybe an anomaly, until last week. I un-archived the second project that I mentioned as we ended up having to go back a year later for some minor as-builts for a red line drawing. I got the exact same issue. I followed the same steps as noted above, and they were able to get up and running. Only this time the next issue was it wanted them to calibrate. I ended up looking at the data on the controller via the backdoor to TCC and noticed that the .dc file did not load to the controller. I then copied the .dc file from another controller that I had previously archived to Google Drive, to the controller that was "missing" the .dc file. I got a message File Explorer prompting me to Skip or Copy and Replace the same file, though I could not see it on TCC. I hit Copy and Replace, the surveyor synched their controller and suddenly they were able to keep working with no issue.
There were three or four other controllers assigned to the same project in WorksManager. I looked at each one via the backdoor of TCC and they all had the .dc file. So that may have been some weird anomaly.
But the issue of the missing Site.xml on the assigned controllers after un-archiving a project, still exists. There seems to be some sort of disconnect between WM, TBC and TCC.
