Oppo Electronics use a fork of the Android Operating system on their smart devices named ColorOS.
Devices using the ColorOS (the A77 for example) require the following setup and configuration to before for using with Catalyst.
- Enable the Catalyst Service to use Mobile data
- Enable OTG Storage for Catalyst.
- Disable Energy saving tweaks which can affect CPU speed and Catalyst performance
Enable the Catalyst Service to use Mobile data
The device OS may default to using WiFi only for the Catalyst service.
Although Catalyst can operate 'offline' using satellite corrections, we need to enable mobile data to maximise the real-time sources and performance
Settings > Dual Sim & Cellular > Apps using WiFi & Mobile Data > Select Trimble Catalyst Service > Select Dual Sim & Cellular Data > Enable WiFi and Mobile Data
Enable the OTG Storage option for Catalyst.
This is required for any app to be able to connect to DA1 antenna. This step is not needed if operating DA1 as HOST mode (i.e. the battery is connected to antenna first then smart phone).
Under the SYSTEM menu > Enable OTG Storage*
* Older Oppo Operating Systems may require you to do this via Settings > Additional Settings > Enable OTG
Disable Energy saving tweaks which can affect CPU speed and Catalyst performance
This step prevents the OS from shutting down the Catalyst service when running in the background
Settings > Battery > Energy Saver > Select Trimble Catalyst service > disable Freeze when In background & Automatically optimise when an abnormally is detected
