Establish a High Accuracy GIS Field-to-Finish Workflow with Trimble Penmap for Windows [GEO-1157]

Looking forward to Trimble Dimensions 2018, we are proud to present a project, where we established a high accuracy GIS field to finish workflow with Trimble Penmap.

This presentation will introduce Trimble’s vision for transforming cadastral workflows by leveraging a broad spectrum of Trimble technologies in a way that will provide surveyors with greater productivity in both the field and the office. Existing technology approaches will be analyzed and new methodologies will be introduced to address customer challenges in the context of real world examples. A major component of this transformed workflow is Penmap, a powerful, yet incredibly straightforward application for cadastral field surveying and high-accuracy GIS data collection. Penmap is designed to provide both professional surveyors and field workers with an intuitive, easy-to-use map-based interface for entering and managing features and attributes. A good example is Trimble’s integration of Penmap for the Land & Property Services (LPS) of Northern Ireland. LPS collect, process and manage land and property information, which underpins the collection of rates, in support of the executive's commitment to economic and social development in Northern Ireland. This presentation will highlight key components to achieving enhanced productivity in field-to-finish workflows by implementing data validation in the field and field-to-office system integration.

Key Objectives
1) Understand how Penmap fits into Trimble’s broader transformed cadastral workflows
2) Understand how Penmap helps surveyors overcome challenges involved with updating existing GIS data
3) View examples of data validation that allow for improved productivity and data quality in the field
