I have a kmp_affinity warning coming up with TBC v5 saying affinity not supported. Anybody know what this actually does and how will it effect my user experience?
I am running an amd ryzen threadripper which apparently does not support kmp_affinity.
I had the same problem. Running a AMD cpu. Found this to fix the problem.
Errors:OMP Warning #72 KMP_AFFINITY: affinity only supported for Intel (R) processors.OMP Warning #71 KMP_AFFINITY: affinity not supported, using “disabled”.
To fix try the following:
Right click on My Computer (or This PC)Select “Properties”From the Basic Information screen, select “Advanced System Settings”Select “Environment Variables” from the Advanced System Properties tabLocate and select the variable “KMP_AFFINITY”Once selected, press “Edit”On the Edit System Variable screen, change the Variable value to“disabled”
If you don’t see the “KMP_AFFINITY” in the variable list providedClick on “New” under the system variables sectionType “KMP_AFFINITY” in the variable name fieldType “disabled” in the variable fieldThen click “OK”
Thanks Derek, I no longer have an extra window popping up.
I just got an AMD Ryzen 9 for some other software and tried installing TBC on it today. I had the same error message as Wayne. I'll give this a try in the morning. Thanks for asking Wayne and the solution Derek!
Thanks guys, outstanding. Got placed on work from home and installed TBC 5.21 on an old Toshiba laptop with an AMD processor. your resolution worked great. It is really appreciated when time is taken to post issues and resolutions.
