The TBC 5.01 patch is not running it reports an error please check the installer
DId you get this through Check for updates or some other method? I have downloaded and installed OK as have many others so not sure what you did that was different - typically try downloading again as you may have received an incomplete installation package - if still a problem I can post the installation package that I used here on the Forum for you to download
Let me know if you are good to go now as this is an aging post I guess - apologies I was tied up last week and could not get to the questions being asked.

I will post up a 5.01 Patch Download you can try tomorrow - It is a complete install and I am in a Hotel tonight and have a Flight Mid Morning so I doubt the Hotel WiFi will be done by then .....
Alan just tried again to install the 5.01 patch from TBC updater and with the windows installer and it doesnt run, so please post the tested patch file here

I don't know what else I can do to assist you - you will have to work this through support as I have exhausted all the things that I can think of - I have forwarded to Tim McClannahan the CEC product manager and he will have someone in the development group look at the error messages you are seeing to see if they recognize this
I assume that you did a full deinstall before running this installer as it needs a clean system as it is a full installation
I also assume that you extracted all the contents of the zip file I shared with you before running the installer - you cannot install from the zip itself
I also assume that you have run the cleanup Utility to totally clean your machine of older installations
I also assume that your PC Utilities, Graphics Drivers and Operating System is fully up to date
If all the above is correct then there is something deeper going on here and we need development or support to pick up from here as this is not my strength to diagnose problems at this level

Dont know why or what is causing this installation errors for 5.01 TBC

our best guess at this time is that the download is getting corrupted at some point in the download process. Please try another web browser and see if that makes a difference. Download the installation again from the below link. We download and install every file that is used for distribution and are confident it is not the source data.
The only other consideration is that the file is is being corrupted by a virus from your computer. Please run a virus check if the problem continues with a new download.
