What are the benefits of "Measure Rounds" over "Measure Topo" when doing a station traverse?

For the longest time I've used "Measure Topo" with face 1&2 measurements after a 1 face "station setup" to a backsight; however recently i was talking to another surveyor who swears measure rounds is the better method. What are the benefits this feature over measure topo? Wouldn't the station setup define the internal angle to the backsight anyway?

The only thing i can think of is that where measure topo defines all measurements referenced to that initial station setup shot, measure rounds might disregard the station setup, and stored data would be referenced to the backsight measured on that round?
