Is there a way to move multiple georeferenced images?
For example, if I am performing a takeoff from pdfs and then I am able to get coordinates from the engineer or some other avenue. The process would be painful currently.
Challenges with this are that we Georeference all of the Vectors and every pixel in every sheet so that you can extract them or drape them over a surface etc. If we move the Sheet then all of the Vectors also have to be moved internally and the pixels need to be rescaled and moved also at least in order to do that.
You can re reference a sheet using the Georeference command
I get why this would be good to have - it is just not as simple as picking up an object and moving it
Even if this took a little bit to compute; 30 - 2 min, this would be a lot quicker than manually doing this process for each sheet.
Especially on projects where you start off with only pdfs and then maybe you are provided georeferenced linework or points.
I have needed this before, and discovered with disappointment that the "Move" command does not work on geo-referenced images. Conceptually, it seems pretty straight-forward.
TBC doesn't do any rubber-sheeting, so it must essentially be computing a single transformation matrix from the pairs of control points selected during the geo-referencing process. The "Move" command should have the ability to apply additional transformations to this matrix to achieve the same result as re-referencing the sheet manually, with no more computation time than that process involves but eliminating the manual work. It would be helpful if the entire suite of transform tools worked, including "By Points" and "Transform Survey Points". All of these tools solve for a transform when used on regular CAD line-work; please add the ability to additionally use that transform on the raster images themselves.
