What’s New

There is a new version of the Trimble Connect 3D Viewer available at  https://3d.connect.trimble.com .Version identifier for this release is: 1.0.97. 

This release note also covers releases 1.0.91 (June 9), 1.0.93 (June 16), 1.0.95 (June 26) and 1.0.96 (June 30). 

To load the new version to your browser, click the refresh link when the version update message is displayed.

Renewed measurement tool with shortest perpendicular distance mode

• Note: This feature will become available soon during July)
• Soon when the point-to-point measurement tool is activated from the toolbar button, it starts by default in the perpendicular measure mode
• The new measurement mode enables you to quickly determine the shortest perpendicular distances
• This useful for example when working with rebar models, or when checking for clearances:

Tips for using the new perpendicular measurements:

• When a dimension is selected, use the TAB key to cycle through the X, Y and Z components
• When a dimension is selected, use the “D” key to switch directions:
• When a dimension is saved to a view, it won’t be possible to alter the X/Y/Z and direction choices anymore after the view is loaded

Favorite properties

• In the properties panel, it is now possible to mark properties as favorite by clicking the star icon. The favorite properties are always displayed at the top
• Also, now it’s possible to sort the properties panel content alphabetically
• The panel remembers the marked favorite properties for each user and each project separately
• Property set notifications
• When another user edits custom property values, you are immediately notified of the change with an icon next to the property set name
• By clicking the Refresh button, the updated values become visible in the panel  

Bug Fixes

The following items were introduced in the 1.0.95 release:

• Workspace API:  onPicked event has now the pick normal included
• Workspace API: added support for generating temporary graphics from custom extensions: addTrimbim(), getTrimbims() & removeTrimbims()
• Workspace API: fixed an issue where setting alignment with partial properties was not working
• Fixed an issue where the colorize feature of the content browser data table didn’t fully colorize objects based on custom property set values 
• Fixed an issue where an URL type attachment could not be removed if the URL contained special characters

The following items were introduced in the 1.0.93 release:

• Fixed an issue where it was not possible to download a model file using a public link created with the “View & Download” option
• Fixed an issue where it was not possible to delete an attachment that was created using the “Linking Documents to Trimble Connect” component from the Tekla Warehouse
• Fixed an issue where colors of a rebar model were changed when the content browser data table was opened
• Fixed an issue where the latest version of an attached document was not displayed
• Fixed an issue where user could not add a web link to an object

The following items were introduced in the 1.0.91 release:

• Workspace API: Access token API with permission request was introduced
• Fixed an issue where adding a .PNG file to ToDo attachments failed
