    Penmap GNSS measurement options

You want to explore Penmap GNSS methods and options?

TOUCH-HOLD to GNSS button in Penmap and find out more...

Set the GNSS Measurement Method or Real-Time Corrections
Check Skyplot, PDOP, RTK Status or your Antenna Height

Which one is your favourite measurement method?
BTW: I used a Trimble DA2 for the screenshots, amazing accuracy!

Good post- thanks!  We're working on figuring out how to deploy at Catalyst DA system.  On the attached screenshot, can you confirm this is telling me the antenna height is 6.562 ft and the horizontal and vertical resolution is 0.544 ft (approx. 6 inches)?

This is a test setup using a DA1 with the Catalyst 1 subscription, running on a 3 year old Android phone. It was left in one place for approximately 30 minutes.

    Thanks!

    antenna height is 6.562 ft
    2D RMS is 0.544 ft

The 2D RMS value represents the radius of the two-dimensional circle within which approximately 70% of position occur

The blue number of satellites shows that 18 satellites are tracked and you are using RTX or SBAS (I guess RTX)
Also you are in the single measurement mode.
Next point number is 13. You are not using the iFeature coding system

    Thank you Markus!

Any thoughts on why the 2D RMS isn't smaller? With our Catalyst 1 subscription it should be 0.0xx. Also, in the Penmap interface where can we see the vertical accuracy?

    Thanks!

    Hey Rahul,

It is difficult for me to evaluate the accuracy without knowing the local conditions. I would suggest you contact your local Trimble distribution partner and discuss this with them.
Regarding the vertical precision, as Penmap is a survey app you can check these values for sure.
    • Try Tap I Hold to the GNSS button to get into the context menu
    • Select Position
