Hello,

Do you know a way to create labels in the 3D view of connect that take the values of IFC attributes? 

In our office, BIM modelers still have to create 2D pdf files that show the numbering of parts or assemblies. This information already exists inside the IFC parts, we just need a way to show them in the global 3D view of Connect.

I know that we can upload dwg files in TC projects so that 2D information overlap with 3D objects. However the required work to create and upload theses 2D files is too important.
You can already display the values of grids numbers so I imagine that doing the same thing with a chosen IFC attribute would not be so complicated.

Hi Olivier and Trimble Family,

Just so easy, but so helpfull in reading IFC files and have them accepted and incorperated in the manufacturing process. A label stamp is what we need, and whith that also consider the feature like Tooltip I provided you earlier with. While hovering over an object/part/assembly, having a temporary label at your tooltip showing some values defined by the user in the tooltip settings.
