Data transfer: Connects but no files to download?

  • 1.  Data transfer: Connects but no files to download?

    So, until now my Geo 7X worked just fine for data transfer.  Now, I am trying to download a field data file from the handheld unit via GPS Pathfinder Office and it shows no files to download even though the connection works fine.  Also when I upload files to the device (works fine), they don't show up on the actual device. 

    I am banging my head on the wall over this.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Kevin,

    Are you able to add a screenshot of the Data Transfer app when you are downloading/uploading files?

    Thanks but pretty sure I figured it out.  I am not sure what it was "connecting" to but it wasn't the Trimble.  This is a new computer now running on Windows 10 which does not support WMDC.  Works on my old axe.  Still trying to figure out how to get WMDC on the new axe.

    Thanks Lane - since that Support Note hasn't been updated for a couple of years I gave it a try using a TSC7 as host, I can confirm those instructions still work on a fully-updated Windows10 system.
