Side Slope Offset

    Hi

I'm trying to offset a top of batter line down the batter by a certain amount and i can't seem to find a side slope corridor menu that works.

All the option just seem to give me the horizontal offset of 2.5m as opposed to the slope between the nodes at 2.5m.

I select Node to Node to define the slope, but the offset/elevation options don't seem to give me what i'm after.

Screenshot below shows that I'm trying to get the (blue) distance down the slope as 2.5m not horizontal & vertical distances.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Possibly the slope to slope command would work.  If I'm reading this post right.  It's been awhile since I used this and can't think off the top of my head right now on the specifics of this instruction.

You can do it with the Side Slope command, but to make it simpler I built a little calculator:

I use this a lot for rip rap where the typical section shows the thickness of the rock. A perpendicular offset is easy in the field, for both machines and rovers, but it screws up the catch points.

    Sure thing!

Here's a little video that explains how that sheet works:
