Trimble Business Center

I have a major problem with the new 2024 version. TBC won't show the Point Spreadsheet anymore.
There are no problems with the plan view or 3D view. But as soon I try to open the Point Spreadsheet,
TBC "suffer an unexpected error".
In the moment i can not work on my projects. Please help.

A common instruction for something like this is to uninstall and reinstall TBC.  One new version I had to reinstall because point clouds would not colorize.  So it might be an error that occurred during installation.

if I understand it correct it does happen with all your projects?

What happens if you create a new and empty project with no feature code list attached, and you manually just add one single point? Does it fail then as well?

Could you upload a small project file here or send me a link via private message?

Hello Carsten,

something weird is going on with the feature codes processing/interpretation. From my perspective this is a bug in 2024.00 and needs to be investigated and addressed by the Trimble guys. Better send your project and bug report to your Trimble dealer.

If I open your project in 2023.11 it works, no error.

If I open your project in 2024 I also get that red cross and an exception when trying to open the point spreadsheet.

I've narrowed it down to the first point in the list "240624-001" and most likely it's feature code. But I also get the cross when trying to change the code for 240624-008. My suspicion is that they messed something up with the interpretation of numbers as feature codes.

If I disable that points vector, I can show the point spreadsheet and also the points properties. If I enable the vector I get the red cross.

While the vector is still disabled.

I can change the "feature" in the bottom feature section and the symbol will change, BUT it will not update the feature code in the upper section in 2024, it stays empty.

The following works in 2023.11 but not 2024.

No problem. That way I also learn something new every day.

Feel free to send the forum link to your dealer. Otherwise, it might take even longer to get addressed. Maybe they are working on it already, users had complained here that 2024 is ignoring/deleting parts of multi-feature codes. It might be related.
