Trimble Mobile Manager Folder, ArcGIS Field Maps, and Shared iOS Devices

    Hello everyone,

    Recently our organization has moved to Shared iPads (iPadOS 18.5) since they move between teams quite a bit. However, individuals are no longer able to access app folders - such as the Trimble Mobile Manager folder when adding a location provider in ArcGIS Field Maps.

    Is there a workaround for having to browse to the Trimble Mobile Manager folder? Is there a plan to remove the requirement to browse to the folder in the future? As it stands now, we cannot use any of our Bluetooth receivers using Trimble Mobile Manager for connection and configuration.

    Hi Noah,

    Esri is working towards a new release of Field Maps and has a public beta available. This release will no longer need to browse for the TMM folder.

    Why can't they access app folders? We also utilize shared iPads and have no problem. Ours are managed by our IT department using Microsoft InTune. If yours are also managed through a platform, maybe a setting in the management platform could be adjusted?
