We are using a Trimble TDC 650 with the Terraflex Premium license to post process data offline in hopes of getting better accuracy than just the built in SBAS correction. Our goal is to collect data with sub-meter accuracy. While collecting data in the field, we are averaging 10 positions per feature (form). The estimated accuracy shown on the screen is well below our goal with estimated accuracies of 12-in. to 24-in (0.3m to 0.6m). After we collect the data and sync it using Trimble Connect, several of our points are coming back with estimated accuracies outside of our goal, with post processed estimated accuracies of 1m to 3m. Can anyone explain why the estimated post processed accuracy is worse than what is shown on the data logger when we collect the data?
Secondly, does the position averaging start when the accuracy is within the specified goal (1 meter) for the internal real time SBAS correction or the estimated offline GNSS post processing correction?
