Hello TBC’ers! Have you tried out the “Adjust ‘flat’ triangles” property when building surfaces in TBC? This property helps to refine surface models by eliminating 'flat' triangles that can occur in areas with tight curvature. This adjustment ensures that triangles are connected to different lines rather than to themselves, resulting in a more accurate and visually appealing surface representation. Here is an example of flat triangles that we’d like to even out into a slope:
To begin this workflow, open your TBC project containing all of your surface layers and follow these steps:

Select the surface you wish to adjust. Right click in a graphic view or the Project Explorer to open the properties pane.

Change the “Adjust ‘flat’ triangles” property from No to Yes.

The surface will now be adjusted to include triangles that connect two breaklines over a smooth slope.

Further, this setting can be used in conjunction with the “Override segment length:” setting that we talked about in last week’s tip to further increase your model’s detail and accuracy.
By adjusting 'flat' triangles on surfaces, you can enhance the quality and accuracy of your surface models in TBC. This feature is particularly useful in areas with tight curvature, providing better definition and smoother slopes for a more realistic representation of your project.
