Start by finding My Account in your member profile. From here, you can set up how you want to receive emails from the community, decide how much of your profile you want visible to other members, edit the signature that appears under your thread posts, and more. Helpful Tip: We recommend subscribing to receive emails as a Consolidated Daily Digest—you will receive a single email each day summarizing the hottest topics in your communities. You can also get emails in Real Time—perfect for the community's power users or anyone who likes up-to-the-minute alerts on what's going on.
Customize your email settings and subscriptions
To post a new question or discussion, you have multiple options
Post a New Thread
1) Navigate to the community of your choice and click "Threads," then "Post New Message."
2) Navigate to "Participate" on the navigation bar, then click "Post a Message." Choose the forum you are looking to post a thread in, select Open-ended discussion or Question to be answered, add a subject and body text, then post!
If you started a question thread, you can mark an Answer as "Best Answer." Navigate to the post and click the ellipses (...) to the right of the designated answer, then click "Mark as Best Answer." This answer will appear at the top of the thread with a "Best Answer" ribbon.
Post a Reply to a Discussion Thread
To post a reply to a discussion thread, navigate to the post and click "Reply" to make a reply on the thread. You can also Recommend a thread or Follow the thread to receive real-time updates.
Post a Reply to a Question Thread
To post a reply to a question thread, navigate to the post and click "Answer" to make a reply on the thread. You can also say "I have this question too" or Follow the thread to receive real-time updates.
