Drone Imagery can now be imported into Trimble WorksOS to give customers the latest visual representation of their jobsite and the ability to see progress on an up-to-date terrain map.
Construction sites are constantly changing and often located in very remote areas. This new feature allows users to manually import a drone GeoTIFF file (WGS84 format), from applications such as Trimble Stratus, with precise coordinates in order to overlay it over the existing map background, which otherwise may quickly become out-of-date.
This feature can be particularly valuable:
- To gain accurate imagery for a project which has no up to date imagery.
- To get a snapshot of your ever changing project throughout the project.
To introduce users to the drone imagery import feature, a video tutorial will appear in the application, and can also be shared with users here: Video
