Hi,

Measuring a vertical or horizontal distance of a rebar is not possible. At least, I can't get it done. How can I measure the vertical distance of 2 bars if they are not exactly one above the other? Also, is it possible to select the outside of the bar and not the center line of a bar? Or of 2 bars in the 'flat plane', regardless of the height they are at.

In which application (Windows or Browser) are you saying these measurements are not possible?

Hi Laura,

This is the Windows Application. It would be helpfull to have a key shortcut to lock X or Y or Z (or between 2 points).

Are you using the measure vertical/horizontal distance tool in the Windows application? (https://docs.windows.connect.trimble.com/measuring/creating-measurements#h.rsiugky583qf)

If yea and you are still not able to create the measurements desired, you may need to use the browser application which allows you to define snapping preferences and gives you greater control over the measurements.
