Is it possible for Topcon to use the Trimble DC file with the site calibration?

    TOPCON PROCEDURE
Create a TopCon Calibration file, surface and linework
    Required Files:
    Trimble project .cal file
Trimble/Carlson surface file exported as a .xml
Trimble/Carlson linework exported as a .dxf
This is the procedure for creating a TopCon .gc3 calibration file.  You will have to match up the measured Lat Lon Height of the control points  from the Trimble calibration report to the grid values of the control points.
    1. Open new Business Center Project
      1. Save project as "…"
      2. Drag and drop ".cal" file into your Business Center Project
    2. Under the Project tab click on "Site Calibaration"
      1. Calibartion Settings dialog box opens
      2. Check box for "Horizontal Calibration" (Note do not check "Set Scale factor to 1")
      3. Check box for "Vertical Calibartion" make sure "Verical Shift + Incline Plane" is selected
      4. Geoid model: None
      5. Select "Compute" at the bottom of the dialog box.
      6. (A dialog question box will ask "Old calibration results will be deleted! Do you want to continue?" Select "Yes"
      7. The Site Calibration dialog box will have the "Results" residuals for your control points Select "apply and Okay"
      8. Go to "Reports"
        1. Select "14 Site Calibaration Report"
        2. File save as type "Wedpage,complete(*.htm;.html)" make sure the File name has the ". html" extension
      9. Close Business Center
    3. Open "Topcon 3-D-Office"
      1. File "New" save project as "…"
      2. Under "Project tab" select "Control Points"
      3. A control ponts dialog box will open select "ADD"
        1. Open the .html file which you created from Business Center(This will give you the GRID POINT Point #/Northing/Eastng/Elevation & GNSS POINT Latitude /Longitude/ Height
        2. Use the "GRID POINT" data Point #/Northing/Easting/Elevation for the Box North/East/Elev (you can copy & paste this data )
        3. Use the "GNSS POINT" Latitude/Longitude/Height for the WGS84 Latitude/WGS84 longitude/WGS84 height Boxes. (If you copy & paste after you paste you will need to erase the "N" /degree sign/all symbols. Add a period only where the degree sign was"
        4. The Horizontal will come in as "North" (if for some reason your information is South add a "-" negative sign before the Latitude numbers.)
        5. For the Longitude you will need to add a "-" negative sign before the Latitude as your information is "West" (Nothing in front of the longitude numbers will be "East")
        6. Copy and paste the Height informaiton
        7. Select "Okay"
      4. The control point will appear on the project screen.
      5. Repeat this process for all your control points.
      6. Once all control points are added and are on screen under "Project" select "Export Control Points" to "to 3D control file(*.GC3)…
      7. You will send this GC3 file with the linework (.LN3) & surface (.TN3) once converted
    4. To convert surface & linework files:
      1. Surface:
        1. You will now need a ".xml" file from your tin surface &".dxf" line work file Bring in your surface file first-
        2. Select "TIN"/ import Tin from Land XML file
        3. The triagulation will appear on screen.
        4. Click anywhere on your triangulation - right click and select "set (surface name) as active tin"
        5. Under TIN tab select "Export current surface" to 3D TIN file(*.TN3)…
      2. Linework:
        1. Select "Linework" / import linework/ from Auto cad file browse to your dxf linework drawing
        2. The linework will appear over your surface triangulation
        3. Make a window around all your linework to select the linework while highlighted go to "Linework" > "Select highlighted linework" > "to 3D linework file(*.LN3)…
    5. Store the exported files in S:\GPS Department\Projects\XXXX-Project Name\5. Data\Current Field Models\TopCon\XXXX design name
    6. Send the .GC3 & .TN3 &. LN3 to the field.
