Trimble connect sync Sync failed

    Hi,

    I'm unable to to sync Trimble Connect project via Connect Sync. It just informs that "Sync Failed" and if I try to sync a single folder it tells that there is nothing to sync even I know there is.

    Hi Matias,

     

    Could you check the Trimble Connect Sync log file?

    It can be found by opening "Contact Support" from button with question mark.

    There is link to a file in the bottom of the opening dialog.

    Inside the file (a zip file) you should see folder with your own email.

    You should find the log file under Logs folder.

     

    If there is something that looks relevant, you can then actually use the contact support dialog and send the data to us.

    This case also has two customers with us.
    The case was also already reported under ref:_00DA0YxVI._5001M1IEXU5:ref

    The only option at the moment is to delete the hidden folder "SYNC-DATA". Then the tool simply resynchronizes the entire contents of the cloud locally to the computer.
    The next time you try to synchronize, the show starts all over again.

    This problem exists since the update to the newest version 2.48.3.0

    Matias and Andreas,

     

    Could you provide me the actual log from here:

    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Trimble Connect Sync\ApplicationLog

     

    You may need to turn hidden items visible in the windows explorer to be able to navigate there.

    In that folder you should see zipped log files on each day. Please provide such log for a date that you encountered this issue.

    Hi Matias,

     

    Thank you for the logs. One bug was found in the current Trimble Connect Sync and it seems that your case is that one.

    New version of Sync will be released quite soon.

    I have been having similar Trimble Connect and Trimble Synch Manager issues. I did not have this difficulty with Trimble Access Synch at all.

    Hi,

     

    Trimble Sync Manager is a Survey specific application which uses both Connect data files as well as the Connect ToDo to create Trimble Access job packages. It works with Trimble access 2018 or more recent and is the only desktop application which will allow full integration to the Trimble Access data.

     

    The online Trimble Sync Manager help may be of use.

     

    Trimble AccessSync is a field based survey specific file synchronization tool. Trimble Access 2017 is the only version which will also work with Trimble Connect. When using AccessSync in the field, Trimble Connect Sync can be used in the office to synchronize the data files.

     

    Trimble Connect Sync is a generic file syncing application. It only acts upon the data files in a project. Trimble Connect Sync will not synchronize the Connect ToDo or ToDo attachments that are used with Trimble Access 2018 and the Trimble Sync Manager system.

    Please update the Trimble Connect Sync. There's now new version available, which should fix this issue.

    The current version number is 2.48.13.0

    I told this to our customers. Since they have not given any feedback so far, I assume that the problem has been solved with the update.

    Hi Tuan

    Did you delete the SYNC-DATA folder (see post above)? If so, and the problem still exists, please contact support connect-support@trimble.com.

    I am not the support of Connect myself, only a user or reseller
