Trimble Connect User Forum

My name is Derik Wilson.  I am a BIM Engineer for Wayne Brothers Inc.  We are now using Trimble Connect and like it so far.  I have a request for a future feature.  I have attached a few marked up sheets better explaining our request.

We would like more customization when it comes to the "Group by:" option under objects.  It would be nice to be able to filter by all UDAs if possible (ex. User Field 1, User Field 2, etc...)

Next, the sub groups you can organize by are nice.  But it would be nice to have the option for them to create a group that can have a drop down option like your highest "Group by:" option.

Example:

>Object names

         > "Beam"

         > "Column"

         > "Footing"

                  >"F1"

                  >"F2"

                  >"F3"

        >"Slab"

        >"Wall"

I know there is the "MODEL" tab but in our case we like to only export 1 concrete model IFC to Trimble Connect to make sure we grab everything.  It would be nice if the "OBJECTS" organization had more capabilities.

Hey Josh!  You can create groups/subgroups using the Content Browser in Trimble Connect for Browser.  Have you looked at that yet?  If not, check it out and let me know what you think.
