Hi Marco,
Thank you for the advice, sadly it still gives me the endless loading in TC Web.
I used Potree 1.6 and even converted it using Potree Converter 1.6 and everything loads fine in TC Desktop. Is there anything i could be missing? Is your webserver publicly reachable or just locally, via http or do i need https?
Thanks,
Tobias

Hi,
I could get it working. You have to use an old version of potree, e.g. 1.6 works for me. Then add the link to the "cloud.js" in TC Desktop. This should then also work in TC Web

Did any of you get it working? For me it works in TC Desktop, but in TC Web it just doesn't load. I'd be thankful for hints.
Cheers,
Tobias

Hi,
I managed to host a potree point cloud on a server and add it via URL to a Trimble Connect Desktop project. Very nice feature! As soon as I add these urls (.js), they show up in the data folder "Point clouds" as "Pointcloudname.purl", as expected. And they also work perfectly in the desktop version.
Unfortunatly, when I try to view the point cloud in the web version of trimble connect, I get an error "Potree Point Cloud in Trimble Connect Web". According to another post, this should be possible: Import Point cloud (url). Furthermore, I saw that links from Pointscene also should work in the web version: Trimble Connect and Pointscene.
Any idea what could be wrong?
Thanks
