    Hi, I work for a company that uses Trimble Geo 7x units and GPS pathfinder office. I am struggling to get GPS pathfinder office 5.90 -65535 to work properly and am in need of assistance. My company's IT department doesn't know what is going on and asked me to reach out to the vendor. When I go to use the export or the transfer function a secondary window never appears. It acts like it will try and open the window but it only pops up in the bottom windows taskbar. When you hover the task bar you are not able to see the secondary window. You only see a white screen pop up. I need to use these functions daily for my job and need help with this

    I have seen this happen when the last time PFO was used it was dual monitor. Then when I ran PFO it was only on a single monitor. The easiest way to correct this is plug back into dual monitor move on open screens onto the primary monitor. Now it will be available when only using a single monitor. Maybe that is what is causing your issue. Hope that helps.

    Good Catch Mel,

    It did not hit me until you mentioned the "white" space that Christian experienced was the empty Map View.  If this is not a dual monitor, or there is a way to grab the out Menu functions of PFO, click Window/Tile to reset all the windows on the current monitor and force the entire program to exist on one monitor and all windows.

    Hi Joel - I don't think that Tile or Cascade will work because the Export and Transfer Utilities are actually separate windows, not panes within the main Pathfinder Office.

    Mel's suggestion will almost certainly work if you can get a second monitor.

    Based on the suggestions in the pages below, you could try the following:
    • Run Pathfinder Office and open the utility you want (Data Transfer or Export, etc)
    • Hold down the Shift key
    • Right-click on the Data Transfer or Export icon in task bar to bring up a menu
    • Release the shift key
    • Select "Move"
    • Press one of the keyboard cursor buttons once (more presses don't matter, but you need to press a cursor at least once for the next step to work)
    • Move the mouse (don't press a mouse button) - the Data Transfer or Export window will move with the mouse cursor, so move the mouse around until the application appears on your monitor
    • Once you see the application on your monitor, click the mouse once to drop it in place

    Hi Christian. I think Mel is right, and that there was likely a 2nd Monitor when you last used the Data Transfer and Export utilities. If you don't have access to a 2nd Monitor, a quick way to Move the Utilities back to your PC screen is this:

    1. Hover your Mouse over the utility icon in the Taskbar to bring up the Utility - e.g. hover over the Data Transfer icon and the "White Screen" appears
    2. Then Right Click on the White Screen area of the Utility
    3. Select Move if Available, but if Move is grayed out, select Restore, then select Move
    4. Use the left or right Arrow Keys depending on where the second Monitor "was" to bring the App onto your PC screen (for me my 2nd Monitor is at the right, so I used the Left Arrow to bring the Utilities back to my PC.
