I have a client with an Android 10 tablet running TMM to an R2. 
New devices as of May 2021.  Using a correction signal we can get the TTM to display a very tight horizontal accuracy of less than 3".

We are using Field Maps configured to use the R2 in ArcGIS Online. 
Every time we go start using the GPS it fails with the message "GPS Location Not Available"
We have tried both workflows with TMM turned off or left on.
We have tried using Collector as well - similar results.  

I had this issue on my newer Android Phone but was able to get Collector to work but not Field Maps.  Same resulting message.

Hi Todd,

Esri has some detailed setup instructions here. Basic workflow is to connect and set up the receiver in Trimble Mobile Manager before disconnecting from the receiver in that app and connecting to it in Field Maps.

Have you tried using the location sharing workflow (you'll need to set TMM as the mock location provider in Android) and instead connecting to it as the integrated receiver in Field Maps?​

TMM connects to the R2, connected to a correction service, we are receiving subfoot accuracy.  In Field Maps the provider is set to Integrated.  Field Maps flashes "GPS location not available" in the map.

Field Maps does connect to the R2 when used as the Bluetooth connected receiver, bypassing the use of TMM.  We are needing TMM to get the subfoot corrected location that you'd receive via a service/server connected in TMM or the old GNSS status app.

Hi @Jim Grimes. Once you configure the correction source in TMM, that configuration is stored to a file behind-the-scenes. You can connect to the receiver in TMM to validate the configuration, but that's optional. As Field Maps uses our SDK, when you connect to a Trimble receiver, it will apply the configuration that was created in TMM - correction source, output coordinate system, etc. The mock location workflow is an optional connectivity pattern that should also work - downside being you have to configure TMM as the mock location provider in Android settings, upside being you can share the high accuracy receiver connection between Android apps.​

Matt,
Thanks - disconnected the R2 in TMM after setting up the GNSS config.  Have Mock Locations set to TMM. In Field Maps not using the "Integrated", but the bluetooth connected R2 as the provider and setting up a custom profile gets us what we need.

Great. Technically you don't need to keep TMM as the mock location provider in that scenario but it's not going to hurt anything to leave Android set that way. Just know that if you do connect the receiver from TMM and have sharing turned on in TMM, that you should get those positions into any location-enabled app.

Right, since we are not selecting "Integrated" in Field Maps any longer, we wouldn't need to have the Mock locations option set that way.
