If you have the ability to connect the unit to a network and login to the web interface, you can delete Auto000X ones and look for the one that should be stored in there that was your original base position. Delete the Auto000X ones, leaving the original base name/position app file. Re-enable Autobase and remount the unit at it's location and when you power it on, it should say "Autobase Waiting for Position" and once it resolves enough, it will say "Autobase Found, Using "XXXXXX' which should be your original base position and all should be good, as long as that file is still saved in the system.
You can also delete the offending Auto000X positions from the faceplate and re-enable Autobase from there too.
If neither of these methods will work, or you can't find the original base position in the memory, then your out of luck and will have to shift your lines to a known location for each AB.

Good morning. Sorry for the late reply. It says AUTOOOO9 for base name. I used to have Base ID on 2 till this spring but had to change because someone else must have put up base station with same ID. Sometimes I picked up a station that is approx 15 miles from mine.Changed ID to 7. Not sure if that would have anything to do with problem. I highly doubt it.But for old base position, I don't have them written down anywhere.How do I go about finding position of base station? Thanks.

Is your Base Location the same as it was two years ago? The first thing I would look at is that the 542 lost power, or was shut down for an extended period and came back on with Autobase disabled, or put into Autobase Here Mode, and it grabbed a new base position, thus shifting your lines. If your Base Name in the front screen is Auto0000X, then that's most likely what happened. If you have it, put your old base position back in the receiver from when you set the lines and they should shift back.
We don't have a very recent copy of the 542 manual, (Not sure if Trimble ever produced a newer one) but here is the one we have:
