Coordinate Systems

    Feature requests:

When resolving the site calibration in TBC, please publish the geoid file to WM.

Remember coordinate system information details. When creating a new TBC file and adopting settings from WM the coordinate system shows as "datum from data collector" instead of the original information.

When creating a new TBC file, it prompts you to resolve units even if the unit is already the same.

I agree with all of the above.

When resolving the site calibration in TBC, please publish the geoid file to WM.

It saves getting phone calls from the field about someone not being able to open the project/work because they're missing the geoid.

Remember coordinate system information details. When creating a new TBC file and adopting settings from WM the coordinate system shows as "datum from data collector" instead of the original information.

Not a huge deal when I am the only person who is ever going to work on that project as I can have a master TBC file saved somewhere with that information. HOWEVER, when you have another people who suddenly take over a project, or are doing some work for you on the project, it would be GREAT to have that information populate properly sot hat everyone is one the same page. Especially if you need to reference the information to add to a drafted plan, for example.

When creating a new TBC file, it prompts you to resolve units even if the unit is already the same.

Just rather annoying that this is a thing. Creates unnecessary doubt.

As another request, there needs to be an option that WM does not need a calibration and you can get rid of the need to try and "Resolve" or get the message that the calibration is different in WM than the published designs when there is not calibration.

    Scenario

I create a local site on my data collector for total station work. Total station setting upon setting up is scale factor of 1.0 in Siteworks. I shoot in some control (as feature points for now sot hat I can move them later) and existing features needed to place my model (e.g. grid lines) to.

I import the .spj to TBC, I move and rotate all of my field data (included the feature points that will be converted to control) in order to have a certain line hold a bearing of say 0deg or 90 deg.

I convert my control points to control quality and add them to the WM project via TBC. I do not need a project calibration because I just want to resect to my control and use a scale factor of 1.0 set in siteworks upon the prompt.

Now I keep getting annoying errors in TBC that my calibration needs to be resolved and that my designs don't match the calibration - which it does, because neither my TBC or WM have a calibration uploaded.

Another problem with the import work order is sometimes it gives you the error of "Invalid .spj file" or something to that effect. If you click it a few more times, it will suddenly work, or it just won't and you have to download from the web browser. I also find it is really hit or miss on whether it will generate a work order report or not.
