Hello!

I am a little frustrated and hope I can get some help here. I am using a Trimble TDC600 with Terraflex, and I am needing an offline base map to use to help me navigate to the points I created and uploaded. I have the road files of the area I am surveying (DoD property), but they do not show up on the map unless I create a form/To-Do of this layer; even then it does not load properly on the map. Is there ANY way I can create my OWN offline base map layers? Also, why isn't there a satellite and road base map option?

Hi. I'm creating workspaces through the Connect Map Viewer app, and importing a shapefile into the workspace that has the same coordinate system as the workspace

Just want to use these as background reference points for data collection on the TDC

What I have found is that I had to create all shapefile background layers I want (and make sure you have no aggregate geometry), import as usual into Connect and then use the beta version of Terraflex to enable the display of those 'vector' layers without the need to create templates etc.  Regarding Street basemap and Satellite basemap, make sure you create a cached version of both in Connect, then both should be available while offline, unless there is something I am missing in your question.

To enable the vector layer background feature (beta) you just need to do the following

1. In Terraflex go to SETTINGS > ABOUT
2. Tap the Software version 6 times to enable a [secret code] prompt
3. In the text prompt enter 'vectorlayers on' - you should see a message at the bottom of the screen confirming this
4. Restart the Terraflex app
5. In the Map view menu you will now see a Vector Layers option - If your map has compatible vector layers loaded
6. Use this option to toggle the layer visibility on or off
