Shelly,
I have every layer I would like to have as a base uploaded to Connect as different shapefiles, and I can see these files in the Map Viewer on Connect. How do I access the beta version of Terraflex to display the vector layers without creating templates?
The Street and Satellite base maps do not contain the road systems of the property I am working on. I would prefer a satellite base map with my road system layer.
Thank you,
Trish

Hi Trish,
What I have found is that I had to create all shapefile background layers I want (and make sure you have no aggregate geometry), import as usual into Connect and then use the beta version of Terraflex to enable the display of those 'vector' layers without the need to create templates etc. Regarding Street basemap and Satellite basemap, make sure you create a cached version of both in Connect, then both should be available while offline, unless there is something I am missing in your question.

Subject: Creating my own basemap layers for Terraflex
Hello!
I am a little frustrated and hope I can get some help here. I am using a Trimble TDC600 with Terraflex, and I am needing an offline base map to use to help me navigate to the points I created and uploaded. I have the road files of the area I am surveying (DoD property), but they do not show up on the map unless I create a form/To-Do of this layer; even then it does not load properly on the map. Is there ANY way I can create my OWN offline base map layers? Also, why isn't there a satellite and road base map option?
Thank you for your help!
