Is there anyway to change the minimum on demand session time to something less than 1 hour. 9 out of 10 times I need my device for a few minutes and am FORCED to take an hour so the device becomes incredibly expensiive to use. I'm a little PO'd that this was not clearly described in the product description.

TRIMBLE - PLEASE REDUCE THE TIME TO SOMETHING MORE FRIENDLY - 15 MINUTES WOULD BE GREAT

The hourly is really cheap considering alternatives. Not to mention the DA2 solution price as a whole. I would recommend doing a month subscription or a 100 hr on-demand bank versus the 10 hr. I am always very upfront with my customers on how the on-demand works and recommend that they go monthly to avoid the hassle.

I don't really agree. For my application in construction, sometimes you need to pull one elevation and then continue on with other tasks. This one shot costs an hour of my subscription. My recommendation would be to allow an hour of time to be checked out and put a time limit of 24 hours on that time after which it expires. This would require a start/pause function in the app. 
As it stands the device is on the verge of unusable for my situation. I don't need a full month of survey time because this isn't my primary function for the device, it's to aid in construction.

I too am very interested in seeing something like this. I am new to DA2 and will be using just for setting out ground control points. It would be nice to be able to turn off the DA2, move to the next location and turn it back on again without starting a new session. As it is, I'm going to have to keep it running during times it's not really being used in order to avoid being charged for another hour.

Thanks for the input. May I ask a few clarifying questions about your workflow?

• What field app are you intending on using for your ground control capture?
• What other field software (if any) are you using with your DA2 in addition to the use for ground control points?
• Can you describe your use case more - how often do you expect to need to use the tool? E.g. how many GCPs per day, and how much time that takes through the day? How many days per week or per month?
