How do I convert a *.SSF file to excel?

  • 1.  How do I convert a *.SSF file to excel?

    I rented a Trimbel GPS and downloaded the SSF file.  How do I convert this so that I can view the data without specialized GIS software?  I just need some basic GPS coordinates.

    with no other investment, Export to Shapefile the data in the SSF right on the device.  From shape, you can load into GIS software and export the table as a CSV.
