Import 3D Scan into Trimble RealWorks

    Hello,

I am new to working with the Trimble SX10 and the software coming with it. I managed to make a 3D Scan with the SX10 and got a .rwi-folder containing the .rwcx-scan. Unfortunately I cannot import the .rwcx-file to Trimble RealWorks. As far as I know, I can only register the scan within an open project in RealWorks, such as a .rwp- /.tzf- /.jxl-File. The project is an .job-file in Trimble Access. I really cannot figure out how to convert this file or how to create a file that I can use as a project-file for RealWorks.

Would be glad to get a solution to this problem.
    Thanks

Hi, I'm having a similar issue and have been trying to use that link but it won't let me log in.
SX10 unable to open any files on my laptop, despite my colleague being able to open the same files by just dragging them in.

Here are the general steps to import a 3D scan into Trimble RealWorks:

Launch Trimble RealWorks: Open the Trimble RealWorks software on your computer.

Create a new project: In the main window, click on the "New Project" button to create a new project.

Import the 3D scan: In the project window, click on the "Import" button and select the file format of your 3D scan. Trimble RealWorks supports a wide range of file formats, including LAS, E57, and PTS.

Configure the import settings: In the import settings window, you can adjust the settings for the 3D scan import, such as the point cloud density and color settings.

Process the 3D scan: After the import is complete, Trimble RealWorks will process the 3D scan data and convert it into a point cloud. This process may take some time, depending on the size and complexity of the 3D scan.

Review and edit the point cloud: Once the point cloud is generated, you can review and edit it in Trimble RealWorks. You can use various tools to clean up the point cloud, such as removing noise and outliers, and align it with other scans if necessary.

Export the point cloud: Finally, you can export the point cloud data in a variety of formats for use in other software applications or for further analysis.

These are the general steps to import a 3D scan into Trimble RealWorks, but the specific steps may vary depending on the file format and other factors. It's always a good idea to refer to the software documentation or seek additional guidance if you're unsure of any steps in the process.
