Latest Trimble Mobile Manager (TMM) requires renaming to pass OPUS

TMM feature for data logging a static file is a great enhancement for TMM.  However, dashes in the name of the session file name prevents upload to OPUS.  OPUS cannot accept file names with dashes.   Unless we get OPUS to drop this, it will be up to the observer to rename all session files output from TMM before loading to OPUS.

Hoping you could revise the name of the file TMM outputs, replacing dashes "-" with underscores "_"

On another note,  even though the online GNSS Processing tool appears to accept the Session file from TMM with the dashes, OPUS rejects the file and you'll never get a response.

Only when removing the dashes from the file name does the Online Processing tool work as expected.

Joel, I agree that it would be nice if the file naming would automatically go into opus without a hitch. Hopefully, Trimble can incorporate this into a future release of TMM!

Thanks Zach for appending to this much needed fix.

The ability for static is one of the best improvements in TMM.   I've tried asking NGS to open up their requirements for unique characters in file submission, but to no avail and we all know how few people are left in NGS.

Should be a pretty easy fix.  Use underscores instead of dashes.

    Thanks Joel and Zach,

I have requested this be done in our first major release of 2026, watch this space! Hopefully the renaming isn't too onerous in the meantime :-).

    Best regards,

    Mark.
