I will second all of what Skyler said, I can also think of about 100 more, but mainly it's the ability to reverse what we can do with the folder upload feature (Which, BTW, doesn't seem to work with nested folders with multiple files in subfolders) You've always got to leave a way to undo a mistake or a mis upload WITHOUT jumping through nine hoops. An Example:
Removing On Data Collector only created sites that don't start in WM, but are created in WM after calibration or initial survey, and relevant field data is injected in TBC or directly into WM to create a "Synched" site available to the entire fleet of devices. To avoid later in-field confusion with multiple sites with same data we need to remove the original on site created data.

I don't think this is a fringe feature at all. I can think of lots of times I would use this, including today to remove the site folders I uploaded in the missing data thread. Some examples of other times I might use it. If data gets uploaded to the wrong unit on accident, if someone creates a site on their data collector that I don't need, If I upload something to test a current or new feature. I might even use it as a work around for the fact that there is no rename command as I could download the file, rename it, delete the original and upload the renamed copy.
Maybe the delete command could get a disclaimer and have a box you type the word delete into if you really want to delete it similar to how you delete devices from WorksManager now.

Hello Delton, in what scenarios would you want to delete the full folder data?
If your intent is to archive data-for instance cleaning up work orders that are no longer relevant from the field data collectors-you can alternatively move the content into an arbitrary 'Archived' folder outside the usual projects folder (like for instance Home > Vijay Siteworks > Archived > Trimble Building Phase II > Workorders'). This way, the work orders remain safe in the cloud (in the 'Archived' folder) while being removed from the data collector in the field on the next sync (since Siteworks cannot read from the 'Archived' folder)![]()
Nevertheless, we will consider an enhancement to allow deletion even when the folder is not empty. This would likely be an opt-in functionality only for those accounts/users who request it, fully aware of the associated risk

You call DELETING INDIVIDUALLY ALL FILES AND FOLDERS A PARENT FOLDER CONTAINS "a couple extra steps" before we can delete a folder"..... NOT ACCEPTABLE!!

Hello Delton, yes, WorksManager File Explorer's file and folder operations-upload, download, delete, move and copy-are now fully functional.
We deliberately designed the 'delete' operation to be more intentional for the user to prevent mistakes. So, while you can delete folders, you must take a couple of extra steps before doing that. I am happy to hear feedback from everyone regarding the appropriate level of restriction.
The IBSS sharing feature was released but had to be rolled back immediately due to a priority bug. The team has fixed that, and it is now in validation; we will release it again this week. Regret inconvenience.
