Hi Tijs,
I Fully agree. It would be a huge benefit if this is an Trimble Feature in the near future. Even to do some data formatting within these files, like organizer and properties data.
For now, if you need to work with the TrimBIM file, you can import this TrimbBIM file to SketchUP and then export it to IFC. The propertysets, properties and values will be a problem though..

Hi Marko
Thanks for your reply!
I know this is possible as a TrimBim file, but this is not an interchangeable format for customers using software other than Trimble Connect.
It is a bit silly to rely on other untrusted free sites or competitors of Trimble for this functionality, rather than this trusted platform.
Hopefully this is a feature that is on the roadmap!
Or is there a workaround to import TrimBim into other softwares?
Thanks.

Hi Tijs,
This is not fully possible, but you can combine two models (or more) and then export that as TrimBim file.
You can do this in Trimble Connect for Windows, see documentation here. https://docs.windows.connect.trimble.com/models/export-as-trimbim
Hopefully this helps.
Best regards,

Subject: Merge multiple files
Hello
Is it possible to merge multiple IFC files (or other file extensions) into 1 IFC file in Trimble Connect?
At the end of the project, we want to deliver 1 file to the client for his/her facility management.
Is this possible or are there other ways to do this?
Thanks for any solution.
