R1 and Trimble Mobile Manager issue

I am using field maps on an ipad with the R1 receiver.  I have loaded the Trimble Mobile Manager app, made an account, logged in and activated it.  I have the R1 connected to that app now.  But when I go back to field maps and try to use the R1 for Provider it now says :
    "Mobile Manager Required
Browse to the Trimble Mobile Manger
folder to use your device. "

I click the Browse button, and then there is iCloud Drive files with a Trimble folder and there is also the Trimble folder "On My Ipad".  Neither of these folders contain anything however.   I hope you can tell me what I'm doing wrong.  I included screen shots of what I am seeing on the ipad.  Thanks

    Hi,

In the folder selection dialog you should select the 'Mobile Manager' folder on your iPad, not the Trimble folder within it, as per this from Esri's site:
"If you're using an iOS device and adding a Trimble GNSS receiver for the first time, you will be prompted to browse to the Mobile Manager folder on the device. This allows Field Maps to use the real-time correction settings that you configured using the Trimble Mobile Manager app."

    Regards,
    Mark.

Thanks for posting this answer, very helpful.

I also wanted to chime in case somebody else runs into this issue....for some reason I did not have the Mobile Manager folder and uninstalling/reinstalling the app along with changing settings didn't work. It took a force restart of the iphone to make it show up.  Now everything works.

Thank you for posting this.  I had a similar issue where the files didn't show up at all when trying to connect TMM to Field Maps to connect the receiver.  There was an entirely blank screen where the folders should have been upon selecting the "Browse" option to connect TMM in the Field Maps Profile/Provider setup.  My colleague and I deduced that there was some setting I was missing and I actually had to do a wipe of my iPad.  Thankfully, that did the trick and the files populated when I tried the process again.

Can you please elaborate on your solution? What did you wipe, and what settings did you end up configuring? Thank you.

Charlotte, I am having the same issue where the TMM folder does not appear entirely. Are you recommending a factory reset of the iPad (iOS device)

You are supposed to be able to select this entire folder?

    Hi Clinton et al,

When you navigate the files you should see the 'Mobile Manager' folder, click once on that, that's as far as you need to go in the selection, then select 'Open' as per this image:

We have seen from iOS 16 (iPadOS 16) that the default folder for the Files app can be the iCloud Drive folder, if this happens you will need to select Browse, then select 'On My iPhone' or 'On My iPad' to see your app folders.

    Regards,
