Took a new GIS job recently, just as Trimble shut off the servers for providing cbs_list updates for Pathfinder Office. I'm new to Trimble GNSS, and learned pretty quickly that our Geo7x is dated, and that PFO is seriously out of date and in need of an upgrade. BUT, we had hundreds of legacy rover points that needed PPK correction, so I dove in.
Long story short, after some weeks of painful trial and error, I was able to build my own base station entries into an old cbs_list, update the stations' coordinates and reference frames in an appropriate datum and accurately download SOPAC station data and correct using old ftp addresses. It works, and I don't see why it wouldn't keep working for the foreseeable future--even if we have to switch to manually downloaded navigation and observation datasets, and occasionally refresh the station position references.
Anyone out there still doing this, or interested in discussing this topic? I've made it work, but there are some fields in the cbs_list I don't fully understand and would love to talk about.
