Hi Emilien,
Your raising then an excellent question. What is referred to as "SBAS".
SBAS identified in the spec sheet, without a more precise explanation of the space based augmentation capability one cannot assume even European or US Line of sight augmentation from space. Have to defer to Trimble engineering on what exactly SBAS refers too.
I apologize if I jumped to conclusion on accuracy testing. Just that I took the accuracy claim to be in reference to the on-screen display of "accuracy".

Hi Joel, thank you for your reply.
The spec sheet indicates that the TDC6 is supposed to be SBAS compatible (WAAS equivalent in Europe).
We have everything to test the accuracy of our receivers, but we didn't try the TDC6 alone without external receiver so I was confused.

i Emilien,
WAAS, in CONUS on good chipsets is where you gain accuracy and "settled" positions without a bluetooth receiver. Galileo HAS, right now is where I would be looking for "autonomous" precisions on a handheld.
unlocking WAAS on a TDC6 not possible.
From the USFS GPS accuracy test bed at 95% confidence. Do note trusting any GNSS receiver display of Precision (note, not accuracy), is a guess. Best to compare the two devices on truth (a survey control), and like USFS, do a repeated occupation for statistical relevance.

Subject: TDC6 accuracy vs TDC600
Hi,
I was testing the TDC6 without any external receiver and the accuracy seems to be restricted, compared to the TDC600.
Wherever I was, the accuracy was stuck to 3.79m H / 2.5 V with 12 satellites. The TDC6 was unable to get any SBAS correction.
During the same test made simultaneously, the TDC600 went down to 0,75m H with SBAS and 26 satellites.
Is there a parameter to "unlock" the accuracy or is the accuracy of the TDC6 limited ?
Thank you in advance.
Emilien
