TDC650 cellular capabilities

    I recently ordered a Trimble TDC650 and have been having issues getting a cellular provider SIM card. I have tried both Verizon and AT&T to purchase a cellular plan so I can do online mapping in the field. However, both have stated that the IMEI numbers provided to them from the TDC650 are stolen or do not exist. Is this an issue with cellular certification with the device and is the certification process being done so we can actually use the devices on a cellular plan?

    I believe I am having the same issue as Michelle, Also, our account manager at ATT is unable to figure out what's causing the problem. Were you able to help Michelle?

    Hi Phil,

    I've actually changed rolls with Trimble.

    However, Lane LeBlanc's reply bellow about using the DAC is the best answer for getting the TDC650 connected to AT&T

    I have solved this problem with the TSC5. You need to look at the Access Point Settings. APN = Broadband and the MCC = 310 (or default) and the MNC = 410 (or default). Make sure you do a Save when done.

    It may take a couple of power cycles for the settings to "stick"

     We are a Trimble dealer and we use DAC | The New Standard in Connectivity (dataactivationcenter.com) for all of our TDC devices and have very few issues with them.
    Very dependable and great customer service.
