Trimble Connect - Freeze when using measuring tools

    Hi,

    I have been using trimble connect on the web browser for some times. But for the last 2 weeks, on a particular model, that had no issue, is preventing me to use the measuring tools. When i use it, the whole model freeze and i need to unload and load it again. Has someone faced this issue recently and if there is any way to fix it.

    Yes, unfortunately this happens for some models due to the new measuring "Snap to center", that was released on 12.12.2022, new 3D Viewer:

    The issue happens in models with large objects → calculation snap to center takes too long time and the viewer freezes (for several minutes, but not permanent).
    Size in this context means the amount of points in the object, it could be a physically smaller object with a lot of detail, or a less detailed object with a large size.
    Complex objects might not have center point snapping available. Complexity limit depends on the performance of the users computer processor.

    Status: Work in progress.

    Workaround - Deselect "Snap to center" in the measuring tool:
    Do not use/activate "Snap to center" in these models. Restart 3D viewer or just wait until the viewer respond (some minutes).
    Once you activate "Snap to center", the viewer will freeze.

    Yesterday, January 19th,  there was a new "Trimble Connect for Browser - 3D Viewer" release, where this bug is fixed. Hopefully "case closed". Here is the release notes:
