From your post it implies that this has been resolved, however, I am still getting the offline and in maintenance message. Is there any update on this or expected time frame till it's back up? I need to process some maps.

We encountered an unexpected issue whilst deploying an update to Map Viewer yesterday. We kept the Map Viewer in maintenance mode until this was fixed
The Status Page did track this incident but you may have caught this before the first alert triggered.
If you haven't already I'd recommend you 'Subscribe for updates' for live notifications of any service Issues
